Procedure manuals: contributing to the Teaching-Learning process in Hotel Management

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of using a manual for the subject of students’ internship in Hotel Management. The manual helps to accompany the students from the time requesting nternship, tracking confirmation of the company, strategies for evaluating it, and expectations for the fi nal report. By implementing the “Procedures Manual for Hotel Management Internship”, pedagogical and ongoing support is formalized serving as a development strategy. Such method has helped to raise the quality of students’ assignments; thus, contributing to the achievement of learning. Similarly it has contributed to strengthen the management practices as the last step of their college career activities.
