El contexto universitario de la Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra como determinante de la intención emprendedora de sus estudiantes

El reconocimiento al papel de relevancia que juega la educación emprendedora y su influencia sobre la intención de crear un negocio es una de las razones para que los académicos dispongan de una mayor comprensión sobre cómo se constituyen y articulan las intenciones emprendedoras del alumnado. En este sentido, el objetivo principal de esta investigación es determinar si el contexto universitario tiene una influencia en la Intención Emprendedora de los alumnos (IE), y, en segundo lugar, identificar la percepción de los estudiantes sobre el incremento de sus habilidades emprendedoras como consecuencia de los aprendizajes obtenidos en los cursos ofrecidos. Para ello se empleó una metodología de investigación de corte analítico, cuantitativo e inferencial. La muestra validada está compuesta por 282 estudiantes de la Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, de los cuales 276 son de pregrado y 06 de postgrado. Los resultados del estudio mostraron que no existe una influencia en la Intención Emprendedora (IE) de los estudiantes que participaron en cursos de emprendimiento. De igual manera, los hallazgos del estudio mostraron que no existe una influencia en la Intención Emprendedora (IE) en aquellos estudiantes que perciben el incremento de sus habilidades para identificar oportunidades de negocios como consecuencia de los cursos ofrecidos por la Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. Sin embargo, el estudio apunta a que es fundamental evaluar los métodos de enseñanza actuales. Acciones formativas orientadas al emprendimiento pueden mejorar la intención emprendedora, la satisfacción hacia el emprendimiento y la efectividad del aprendizaje.
